One of the people who has made a donation, Jason Smith, has suggested I video my final attempt at 100 consecutive press ups and put the video on YouTube. I think this is a great idea!

My final attempt was successfully completed on 3rd September 2008 when I did 102 consecutive press ups!

My video has also been uploaded on to YouTube. Click the link below to view it on YouTube.

2nd Test Result: 37 Push Ups                    Click here for the Complete Workout

WEEK 3

Monday 4th August

Required: 25 - 17 - 17 - 15, at least 25

I did the end of Week 2 Test and was sort of pleased to manage 37. It still seems like miles away from the target of 100 consecutive push ups.

Having spent a really great weekend relaxing in Scotland with my Uncle and Auntie and my wife and daughter I wonder if those extra pounds in calories make that much difference - YEP! They really do. This was TOUGH today. At one point I was wondering if I might need to repeat Week 2 again, but I was very pleased to have completed the session today.
I have never had such sore arms, shoulders and chest! I could hardly move my arms afterwards!

Actual: 25 - 17 - 17 - 15 - 26 = 100

Here's hoping that a day off will help. But looking at the rest of the week and next week, it justs gets harder and harder from here on!

There was me thinking 100 push ups was going to be easy!

Wednesday 6th August

Required: 27 - 19 - 19 - 15, at least 25

I went karting last night. It was a 40 lap race and my shoulders were sore this morning.

But I was determined to complete today. The first 27 felt OK, but as I progressed it got worse. The final set were a killer and I really had to push myself to get to 26.

I've just looked at Friday's workout and that is going to be tough. But with a day's rest hopefully I'll nail it.

Actual: 27 - 19 - 19 - 15 - 26 = 106

Friday 8th August

Required: 30- 22 - 22 - 20, at least 27

I was determined that today would be easy. It's mind over matter I decided and so I psyched myself up and having done some stretches I went for it. The first 30 felt good. The hardest set were the 4th ones up to 20. A killer! Then I just attacked the last set and having hit 17 easily I then counted 10 more, which seemed easier than counting up to 27! I broke through 27 and was thrilled to manage 5 more.

Whilst my arms are now agony it was telling how important the mind is for getting the job done. As Henry Ford once said:
"Whether you think you can or you can't; you're right".

Week 4 here I come!!!

Actual: 30 - 22 - 22 - 20 - 32! = 126
